Falcon Program Information
All Falcons in the full-day program will have thirty minutes of early literacy development as part of their camp day. Research has shown that early literacy development is crucial for children, especially in the pre-kindergarten years. Renbrook School Summer Adventure understands this and is committed to providing enrichment to all Falcon campers. This will include guided reading, working with letters, phonics, and more. All classes will be designed and supported by education professionals.
The work of a three-year-old is play. Our youngest campers explore cooking, gymnastics, music and movement, nature, art, ceramics, Imagination Station, and more. Their days are filled with hands-on experiences such as painting, dramatic play, group games, swim lessons, and story time. Campers must be turning three by September 30 of the upcoming school year and be fully toilet-trained.
Renbrook’s JK program is a wonderful place for your four-year-old child. Campers are involved in a variety of activities. Friendships blossom while children take part in classes such as cooking, gymnastics, daily swim lessons, music and movement, nature, art, ceramics, Imagination Station, and more. Trips to our pond are fun-filled and informative as children experience nature and wildlife up close. Exploration, enrichment, readiness, and discovery are among the goals of this program. It is designed for children entering a pre-kindergarten program the following fall.
Both the Preschool and Junior Kindergarten programs offer a choice of pick-up after lunch at 1:00 p.m. or a chance to enjoy our full-day program options. Campers who stay for the afternoon will participate in Special Thursday events such as Carnival, Olympics, and a talent show. After a brief quiet time, a variety of playground and water play activities will be offered as well as our new early literacy program. Many of the leaders of these groups are professional teachers trained in Early Childhood Education.
The RSSA Kindergarten program is designed to prepare campers for their new role as Kindergarten students. The camp day focuses on interaction and socialization through a combination of learning and play. Each week, campers will participate in a variety of large and small group activities, designed to promote teamwork, develop curiosity, and supply plenty of camp fun!
