Renbrook Summer Adventure
Welcome to RSSA!
Renbrook School Summer Adventure is a day camp open to children age 3 through Grade 9.
Our staff demonstrates maturity, personal integrity, and sensitivity to the needs of your children. We maintain a low camper to staff ratio to ensure the best possible experience. We have carefully developed our programs for each age group that envelops your child's growth and needs at different stages of their development.
Dear Renbrook School Summer Adventure Families,
Coming off a wonderful 2025 season and celebrating over 50 years of camp magic, I am filled with gratitude for the generations who are a part of our RSSA community. There is a deep sense of nostalgia in knowing that grandparents, parents, and children alike share in the timeless traditions of RSSA—whether that’s diving into the pool, hitting a bull’s-eye on the archery range, exploring the pond, or laughing
together under the summer sun. These roots remind us that camp is more than a place; it’s a community built on tradition, connection, and joy.
As I begin my third year with camp and my second as Director, I am proud of how RSSA continues to honor its history while building for the future. Campers here step into a world of traditional summer fun—no screens, just the crackle of campfires, the thrill of trying something new, and the guidance of counselors who mentor, cheer, and encourage them to take healthy risks. Whether climbing high on the ropes course, launching a rocket, or stepping onstage for a talent show, campers embrace the adventure of summer fun in ways that inspire growth, confidence, and friendship.
Looking ahead, our team is already preparing for Summer 2026, and I couldn’t be more excited. General registration opens Monday, November 3 at 9 a.m., with favorite programs like swimming, rocketry, cooking, ceramics, ropes courses, archery, and woodworking returning along with surprises that will keep each week fresh and fun.
Our Academic Adventure Program for rising 1st–4th graders will return for its second summer after a very successful first year. This enrichment program in math and literacy is led by expert educators and designed to spark curiosity and confidence. Campers spend one hour each morning in an academic environment that is both fun and empowering woven seamlessly into the camp day.
I can’t wait to welcome campers, new and returning, for another summer of discovery, tradition, and adventure. Thank you for being such an important part of our RSSA community and history.
With excitement,
Kathleen Sigrist

Fifth grade kicked off a Read Across AmericaRead-a-Thon last Monday—and wow, did they read! 📚 Together, they logged 10,014 pages, earning 1,014 miles on their reading journey. That’s 37 states covered so far! 🇺🇸
Well done, Grade 5! Keep turning those pages!

Winter clubs have started in Upper School. Back again is the Debate Club, run by two Renbrook 8th-grade students. Club members challenged each other to improvise a speech on an unknown topic, speaking as long as possible until they used the words " uh, um, or like in their speech. Through coaching from the 8th-grade students, our newest team members tripled their time in one debate club meeting. Way to go, all!

Members of Renbrook`s Student Diversity and Belonging Council honored Martin Luther King, Jr. in Upper and Lower School assemblies. They reminded their peers of the importance of Dr. King`s work and how we can continue his dream right here at Renbrook through our core values of respect, belonging, courage, community, and curiosity.
Be brave. Be kind. Be courageous. Be inclusive. Serve your community.

Kindergartener students have been immersed in their “Where Do I Live?” unit for the past month. They learned about their towns, the state of Connecticut, and even their country. To culminate this theme, families joined us to build graham cracker homes with frosting and decorations. The creations were unique, structurally sound, and delicious!
