Renbrook School Summer Adventure
Welcome to RSSA!
Renbrook School Summer Adventure is a day camp open to children aged 3 through Grade 10.
Our staff demonstrates maturity, personal integrity, and sensitivity to the needs of your children. We maintain a low camper to staff ratio to ensure the best possible experience. We have carefully developed our programs for each age group that envelops your child's growth and needs at different stages of their development.
Dear Renbrook School Summer Adventure Families,
At RSSA, the magic isn’t just in the activities - it’s in the people. Campers are guided by counselors who know them, cheer them on, and celebrate every small victory. Friendships and connections are at the heart of the RSSA experience, as campers explore, play, and lead the way with curiosity and joy!
Registration is now open, and spots fill quickly. We hope to see your camper for a summer full of memories, connections, and adventure!
With excitement,
Kathleen Sigrist
Camp Director, Renbrook School Summer Adventure

Fishing, hiking, STEM learning, and LOTS of excitement on a gorgeous day 🎣🌲
Today, Renbrook School’s 5th graders headed to Forster Pond State Park for an unforgettable outdoor learning adventure as part of our growing Renbrook Outdoors program!
Students put their PE fishing lessons into action by practicing safe catch-and-release fishing techniques and catching trout, perch, sunfish, and bass. Some students even baited their own hooks for the first time!
The day also included a hands-on STEM activity where students practiced placing a “tracking device” in a fish model (a banana!) and stitching it back up to study fish behavior and movement in the wild. Add in a beautiful woodland hike, and it was the perfect day of outdoor education.
A huge thank you to the Connecticut DEEP Learn to Fish with CARE program and to Renbrook teachers Carley Elkin and Olivia Goodrich, who recently became certified Fish with CARE coaches.
We love seeing learning come alive outdoors.

With a huge thank-you to Pia Rosenberg Toro, Nicole Katzman, and crew, this morning’s PA Appreciation for Faculty and Staff was such a treat.
Smoothies from Liquid Nirvana and bagels from The Bagel Chalet kept everyone fueled and smiling all day. So grateful for this thoughtful show of appreciation!

How amazing it is to have 75 acres atop Avon Mountain to explore! During WIN time, Upper School students have been choosing adventurous, and sometimes muddy, hikes with friends. These Spring WIN hikes have become a favorite tradition, and together, students have now lapped the Renbrook Tunxis Trail that circles campus twice.

Renbrook School celebrated its 90th anniversary with a special assembly that brought our entire community together.
From our founding in 1935 to our home today on the historic Rentschler estate, once owned by Frederick Rentschler of Pratt & Whitney, we honored a legacy rooted in innovation, exploration, and the spirit of flight.
Students, alumni, faculty, and friends reflected on our history, celebrated Florence M. Greene’s vision, and welcomed former Headmistress Jane Shipp back to campus. Through music, storytelling, and shared memories, the day reminded us what makes Renbrook so special. For 90 years, Renbrook has been a place where curiosity is sparked, character is shaped, and a love of learning is brought to life. Here’s to the next chapter! https://www.renbrook.org/renbrook-school-celebrates-90-years/
