Renbrook Summer Adventure
Welcome to RSSA!
Renbrook School Summer Adventure is a day camp open to children age 3 through Grade 9. We offer a robust Counselor in Training Program for eleventh and twelfth-grade students.
Our staff demonstrates maturity, personal integrity, and sensitivity to the needs of your children. We maintain a low camper to staff ratio to ensure the best possible experience. We have carefully developed our programs for each age group that envelops your child's growth and needs at different stages of their development.
Registration for our 2025 Season is now open!
Dear Renbrook School Summer Adventure Families,
I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new Camp Director of Renbrook School Summer Adventure.
As both a parent and an employee of RSSA, I’ve seen firsthand how camp ignites a sense of joy and adventure in campers, creating summer memories that last a lifetime. As a mom to four RSSA alums, current campers, and counselors, our home is filled with woodworking projects, pottery pieces, and stories of bull's eyes on the archery course. Now, as Camp Director, I’m excited to help create these same experiences for your children.
Camp preparations are in full swing, and our team is hard at work ensuring that Summer 2025 will be full of fun, growth, and adventure. I can’t wait to share this journey with all of you, and I look forward to welcoming both new and returning campers to another unforgettable RSSA summer.
Open registration for the 2025 season begins Monday, November 4 at 9am. Our exciting program offerings like swimming lessons, rocketry, high and low ropes, archery, woodworking, ceramics, and so much more are coming your way.
For families with rising 1st-4th graders, please visit the RSSA website to learn more about our new Academic Adventure program. Focused on math and literacy enrichment, Academic Adventure will give campers an opportunity to engage with experienced educators in a structured classroom setting for one hour each day, four mornings a week. The program will run in concert with the camp day and can be selected during the online camp registration process.
Lastly, we are thrilled to be included on this year’s 10th Annual Best of West Hartford voting ballot! Please click here to choose Renbrook School Summer Adventure for Best Camp.
I look forward to sharing a summer of fun and adventure with you all!
Warm regards,
Kathleen Sigrist

Throughout the school year, first-grade students learned and discussed the concept of different types of communities. Lessons and activities were guided by these essential questions: What is a community? What are the different types of communities? What do all communities need? How are decisions made in a community? Why do people work? How do we get what we need or want? What makes a good citizen? Why do we need rules? How can citizens work together to solve problems and to keep a community safe? Throughout the year, their study of communities has been tied back to the fact that they are members of a community of learners in their class, the Lower School division, the entire Renbrook School, and the towns in which they live. During the final trimester, grade one students learned specifically about the various jobs and careers of community helpers and created their own town, Hawks City. They were proud to share it with their families.👏

Thank you to our wonderful PA for brightening up the campus on Monday! The planters are full of spring flowers, and ferns adorn the main steps. More has been added to the courtyard`s butterfly garden, can`t wait to see it in full bloom and full of monarchs. We appreciate all that you do!🌷😀

The Trustee Scholars presented their projects to the Board of Trustees this week. They have been ambassadors for Renbrook in the greater Hartford community, as well as on campus, serving in a variety of ways, including teaching youngsters, mentoring individuals with special needs, working at food pantries, caring for cats in a shelter, and even protecting nature for future generations, among other things. We are proud of their yearlong commitment to these efforts while maintaining strong academic performance. Bravo!

Not only did Upper School take advantage of the nice weather to be outside for Morning Meeting, they also welcomed Grade 4 in preparation for the Class of 2029 to join Upper School in the fall. Mr. Wright took some time to introduce Flight Day, which will take place on May 2.
