Renbrook Summer Adventure
Welcome to RSSA!
Renbrook School Summer Adventure is a day camp open to children age 3 through Grade 9. We offer a robust Counselor in Training Program for eleventh and twelfth-grade students.
Our staff demonstrates maturity, personal integrity, and sensitivity to the needs of your children. We maintain a low camper to staff ratio to ensure the best possible experience. We have carefully developed our programs for each age group that envelops your child's growth and needs at different stages of their development.
Dear Renbrook School Summer Adventure Families,
Coming off a wonderful 2025 season and celebrating over 50 years of camp magic, I am filled with gratitude for the generations who are a part of our RSSA community. There is a deep sense of nostalgia in knowing that grandparents, parents, and children alike share in the timeless traditions of RSSA—whether that’s diving into the pool, hitting a bull’s-eye on the archery range, exploring the pond, or laughing
together under the summer sun. These roots remind us that camp is more than a place; it’s a community built on tradition, connection, and joy.
As I begin my third year with camp and my second as Director, I am proud of how RSSA continues to honor its history while building for the future. Campers here step into a world of traditional summer fun—no screens, just the crackle of campfires, the thrill of trying something new, and the guidance of counselors who mentor, cheer, and encourage them to take healthy risks. Whether climbing high on the ropes course, launching a rocket, or stepping onstage for a talent show, campers embrace the adventure of summer fun in ways that inspire growth, confidence, and friendship.
Looking ahead, our team is already preparing for Summer 2026, and I couldn’t be more excited. General registration opens Monday, November 3 at 9 a.m., with favorite programs like swimming, rocketry, cooking, ceramics, ropes courses, archery, and woodworking returning along with surprises that will keep each week fresh and fun.
Our Academic Adventure Program for rising 1st–4th graders will return for its second summer after a very successful first year. This enrichment program in math and literacy is led by expert educators and designed to spark curiosity and confidence. Campers spend one hour each morning in an academic environment that is both fun and empowering woven seamlessly into the camp day.
I can’t wait to welcome campers, new and returning, for another summer of discovery, tradition, and adventure. Thank you for being such an important part of our RSSA community and history.
With excitement,
Kathleen Sigrist

Author Teresa Pelham visited the Lower School to share what inspires her stories—and students even got to meet Javier Lopez from her book! 📚 This visit kicked off our Grades 1–4 Read-a-Thon (Nov. 3–17), a friendly competition to see which grade can log the most reading minutes.
This year`s Read-a-Thon was inspired by a fourth-grader who wrote to Mrs. Schlossinger and Ms. Ferrante, advocating for the return of the Read-a-Thon. He has been helping to promote it with enthusiasm and creativity!👏

Señora Pina’s class has continued the beautiful tradition of creating an altar of remembrance for Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), celebrated November 1-2. This Mexican celebration honors the lives of loved ones who have passed, welcoming their spirits back with favorite foods, drinks, and mementos. Rather than mourning, it’s a joyful celebration that reminds us that love and memory keep our connections alive. 💐

What began as a Kindergarten initiative seven years ago to raise awareness for food allergies during Halloween has become a lasting Renbrook tradition. This year, our student continued the effort by reaching out to Governor Lamont, local businesses, and restaurants to support food allergy awareness and provide non-food treat options. Fellow classmates painted teal pumpkins to mark allergy-friendly homes for trick-or-treaters.
We’re proud to see this tradition thrive and make a meaningful impact! 🎃

Seventh-grade artists are working hard to create unique designs for their personal deck of cards projects. They are challenged with the task of creating designs that are symmetrical and have a balanced visual weight on both sides. Can`t wait to see the final projects!
