GIFTS AT WORK: Manafort Family Plaza

The Manafort Family Plaza is the gift of current families Jolyn (current trustee) and James Manafort (parents of Madelyn ’24 and James ’28), Heather and William Manafort (Olivia ’24 and Owen ’31), and Tabitha and Justin Manafort (current trustee) (Samantha ’18, Justin ’19, and Tommi Rose ’24).

The gracious plaza provides a spacious, dry-shod place to gather, the main purpose of the gift, says Jolyn Manafort. “Renbrook has such a strong community, so we chose to support the building of the plaza, as it will be a space to bring the community together.” How beautifully it embodies that goal was evident at Fall Fest in October 2022 as the larger Renbrook community gathered on the plaza for the dedications and later to mingle and enjoy food and drink. Celebrating the dedication of the fields and the plaza in such a welcoming outdoor space was a festive kickoff to Take Flight: The Campaign for Renbrook.

Jolyn says, “Our children and our children’s cousins have all had such wonderful Renbrook experiences. We wanted to give back to the school that has given them so much. We hope our donation to the capital campaign can help to enhance the school so that families can benefit for many years to come.”
