Becky Klein

Art Department Chair; Lower School Art

Skidmore College - B.A., University of Nebraska - M.A.

Becky Klein has been a member of the Renbrook community since 2011 and currently serves as Art Teacher for Kindergarten through Grade 4 and as Head of the Art Department. She holds a B.A. in Art History from Skidmore College and an M.A. in Art Education from the University of Nebraska.

Prior to joining Renbrook, Becky taught middle school art at Watkinson School for a decade, from 1997 to 2007. Her experience across age groups has shaped her deep understanding of artistic development and the importance of building strong creative foundations in the early years.

Becky teaches visual arts with a commitment to helping children find their individual voices. She believes that visual expression is not an extra, but an essential part of a child’s education. Through drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media, she encourages students to take creative risks, explore new techniques, and develop confidence in their ideas.

One of the aspects she loves most about Renbrook is the freedom to teach the artistic concepts she is most passionate about. This autonomy allows her to design meaningful, inspiring projects that spark curiosity and joy in her students.

Outside the classroom, Becky enjoys hiking, creating her own artwork, coaching, and spending time with her family.
