Cicely Gibson
Kindergarten Partner Teacher

Lesley University - M.Ed., Boston University - B.A.
Cicely Gibson joined Renbrook in 2025 as a Kindergarten Partner Teacher, returning to the community that first shaped her as a student. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Boston University and a Master’s in Elementary Education from Lesley University. Cicely is professionally trained in Responsive Classroom, Singapore Math, and Fundations, and holds a Massachusetts professional teaching license.
Her career in education includes teaching Kindergarten and first grade at Pike School in Andover, fifth and second grade at Park School in Brookline, and first grade at Belmont Day School. She also interned at Renbrook in third grade and previously worked as a counselor at RSSA. These experiences across grade levels have deepened her understanding of child development and strengthened her commitment to nurturing both academic growth and social-emotional development.
Cicely teaches because she is inspired by watching children discover who they are as learners and what motivates them. She believes the early school years are formative, shaping not only academic skills but also confidence, curiosity, and a sense of belonging. She also values the collaborative nature of teaching and enjoys learning from her colleagues. For Cicely, what she loved most about Renbrook as a student remains true today as a teacher: the people. She treasures working in a community that embraces a whole child philosophy while fostering authentic relationships among faculty, students, and families.
Outside of school, Cicely enjoys reading across genres, playing tennis and pickleball, spending time outdoors with her family, and tackling puzzles. She and her husband are raising two young daughters, with a third on the way, and share their home with a beloved cat. A fun detail about Cicely is that she grew up riding horses and competed in college, and she can wiggle her ears, a skill that never fails to delight young students.
