Thank you for your interest in the middle school experience at Renbrook School. Our mission is to help all students reach their full potential, in the classroom and in life. Renbrook is a dynamic, intellectual community where learning is rigorous, student-centered, collaborative, experiential, and applied, but learning for middle schoolers at Renbrook is not limited to the classroom. With a ropes course, woods, trails, sports fields, and cultivated gardens, our campus is a safe, varied, and beautiful outdoor classroom and learning laboratory. Middle school years at Renbrook include Grades 5 - 8 and make up the Upper School division. Our Upper School program and curriculum are intentionally designed to best serve our students during these transformative years. As students move from childhood into adolescence, we provide opportunities for achievement in academics, the visual and performing arts, service, sports, leadership, and more. At the heart of a Renbrook education is the meaningful relationship that takes place between our accomplished and deeply committed faculty and our inspired and engaged student body. As an independent school, we are enriched by the diverse backgrounds and talents of all our families and we would love to learn more about yours.

Life After Renbrook: Finding the right secondary school for your teen.

Renbrook School's Secondary School Placement Office guides students and families through the process of finding the right school for every child. Starting in January of seventh grade, students begin to take classes with the placement director, reflecting on their strengths, interests, skills, and achievements and planning for their eighth-grade leadership year. Each family has an individual consultation with the Secondary School Placement Director, learning about possible school matches and planning for the application process. As eighth-graders, students receive coaching on how to tour and interview, guidance on application essays, continued support in determining where to apply, and assistance navigating the financial aid process.By the end of their eighth-grade year, students have more than an acceptance to a school; they have discovered themselves and come to understand their potential.
