Will Strumolo

Director of Enrollment Management and Financial Aid

Leadership Team Member at Renbrook School - Director of Enrollment and Financial Aid

“What a joy it is to feel known day in and day out, to feel encouraged to be your truest self, and to feel inspired to do your very best. It’s a joy that makes learning genuinely fun and that brings a school community together—a joy unique to Renbrook.”

Will grew up in Norfolk, Connecticut, and is a proud product of independent schools. Following four magical years at the Indian Mountain School in Lakeville, he matriculated to the Taft School in Watertown, where he took full advantage of residential life as a multi-sport athlete, a performing musician, and a student leader. After graduating Taft cum laude, he studied English at Georgetown University and music at New York University and had a brief stint as a starving artist before feeling the draw back to an independent school community.

Prior to his appointment at Renbrook, Will worked at The Buckley School, a K-9 boys school in New York City, for twelve years, where he taught English, coached soccer and lacrosse, and began a career in school administration. Over the years, his roles included overseeing secondary school placement, directing the communications office, chairing the enrollment management committee, leading the Covid response team, and serving on numerous task forces in the school’s strategic work and other special projects.

Will believes wholeheartedly in the purposeful intersection of school and community, a belief he lives daily: his wife Eleanor is Renbrook’s Math Department Chair, and their triplets are members of the fourth-grade class. When the Strumolo family is not at school, they can be found crafting and singing together, playing too much soccer, spending too little time at the beach, and looking for new adventures, near and far.

Will is thrilled to join the leadership team at Renbrook and to help enroll the next generation of thoughtful, kind, and inspiring students.

What is the independent school difference?

“Independent schools are more than schools. They are communities dedicated to providing the resources, the guidance, and the support necessary for young people to flourish not just inside the classroom but also—and even more importantly—out. With its focus on character education, its deep and purposeful co-curricular programming, its inspiring facility here on Avon Mountain, and its commitment to academic excellence brought to life by a passionate and talented faculty, Renbrook epitomizes this independent school difference. Come take a look!”
