Thu-Anh Nguyen joined Renbrook in 2024 as a Grade 5 Teacher and Student Council Advisor. She teaches Math and Humanities, guiding students through an important year of academic growth and increased independence. Her goal is to create a classroom environment where students feel empowered to think deeply, ask questions, and take ownership of their learning.
Thu-Anh earned both her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and her Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Connecticut. She holds a Provisional Educator Certification with a 305 Elementary endorsement for grades 1 through 6.
Prior to coming to Renbrook, she spent five years teaching first grade at The Independent Day School in Middlefield, Connecticut. That experience shaped her commitment to strong foundational skills and thoughtful, student-centered instruction. She believes that meaningful learning happens when students feel supported, challenged, and heard.
In addition to her classroom teaching, Thu-Anh serves as Student Council Advisor, helping students develop leadership skills and a sense of civic responsibility. Through both academics and student leadership, she works to nurture confident learners who are prepared to contribute positively to their community.
