Robbie Saal

Robbie Saal is our longest-tenured teacher in the Beginning School, and she has anchored the Kindergarten team with skill and warmth. A thoughtful collaborator and student-centered teacher, parents of Robbie’s students are grateful for the trusting relationships that she forges with students and families. She combines a commitment to play-based teaching principles while building the vital foundational reading and mathematical skills required of the kindergarten year.

Robbie is from Philadelphia, PA, and she earned her BS from Utica College. She has four grown daughters and five grandchildren. Robbie prizes a joy-filled learning environment, and she seeks to embody in her teaching Albert Einstein’s maxim: “It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.”
