Nancy Reynolds

A West Harford native, Nancy Reynolds began teaching first grade at Renbrook in 2006. Prior to that, she taught fourth and fifth grade. Her three children are alumni of Renbrook and her husband, Peter, is Renbrook’s Athletic Director.  

Nancy earned a BS in education at Keene State University and an MS in Marriage and Family Counseling at Central Connecticut State University. She knew from a very young age that she wanted to be a teacher because of her own teachers who left an indelible mark. Nancy works to help her students grow and learn in meaningful and thoughtful ways and loves the “firsts” in first grade. She loves the level of independence first grade students embrace, and she believes in the power of connection between students, teachers, and families.  

When not in her classroom, Nancy enjoys taking care of her family, baking, planting flowers, reading with a cup of tea, and getting together with friends.
