Jackie Nickeo

Diversity & Belonging Coordinator; Grade 8 Co-Coordinator

Central Connecticut State University - M.S. Ed., Saint Joseph College - B.A.

Jackie Nickeo has been an integral part of the Renbrook community since 1997. She currently serves as Diversity and Belonging Coordinator and Grade 8 Co-Coordinator, working closely with Upper School students in both academic and advisory capacities. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Saint Joseph College and a Master of Science in Education in History and Secondary Education from Central Connecticut State University. Before joining Renbrook, she taught in Hartford Public Schools from 1994 to 1997.

In her role, Jackie leads Diversity and Belonging initiatives, contributes to the Life, Learning, and Leadership program, and supports students as an academic advisor and grade-level coordinator. She also advises the Student Diversity Leadership Council and serves on the Diversity and Belonging Committee, helping to foster a school culture grounded in respect, understanding, and belonging.
Jackie believes deeply that education is collaborative and reciprocal. She values the opportunity not only to teach, but also to learn from her students. By creating spaces where students feel comfortable expressing their ideas and experiences, she helps them develop confidence, self-awareness, and a strong sense of value within the community.

Outside of school, Jackie enjoys traveling, crafting, and attending sporting events. She treasures time spent with her husband, children, and their goldendoodle. A quote that inspires her comes from Martin Luther King Jr.: “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”
