Holley Riva

Junior Kindergarten Partner Teacher

Elmira College - M.Ed., Elmira College - B.Ed.

Holley comes to Renbrook School from the Children’s Tree Montessori School in Old Saybrook, where she taught in a multi-age elementary classroom and supported students with diverse learning needs using the Orton-Gillingham approach. With both a master’s degree in education and a bachelor’s in early childhood education, Holley brings a strong academic foundation, along with a hands-on teaching style that emphasizes student-centered learning and exploration through play. Her experience leading inclusive classrooms and individualized instruction aligns closely with Renbrook’s commitment to nurturing each child’s learning profile and social-emotional development.

A lifelong learner and passionate educator, Holley also brings the perspective of a leader and team player, having served as a two-time captain of Elmira College’s women’s ice hockey team. She credits her success as a student-athlete with instilling resilience, time management, and a growth mindset—qualities that echo Renbrook’s values of perseverance and resourcefulness. Whether leading group activities at a summer camp for students with dyslexia or working one-on-one with children to build confidence and joy in learning, Holley approaches each child with warmth, adaptability, and a belief in their limitless potential.
