Heidi Macel

Heidi Macel joined Renbrook School in 2022 and currently serves as Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Relations. She began her work at Renbrook as Capital Campaign Coordinator, where she supported the school’s fundraising efforts and gained a deep understanding of the strength and generosity of the Renbrook community. Heidi also enjoys getting to know Renbrook’s current students and enjoys helping them develop athleticism and sportsmanship as a Girls’ Lacrosse coach.

Heidi’s academic journey reflects a broad and interdisciplinary background. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Bowdoin College, a Master of Public Health from Yale University, and a Juris Doctor from Western New England School of Law. As a licensed attorney, she brings a thoughtful, detail-oriented, and strategic approach to her work in development.

Before transitioning into independent school advancement, Heidi worked in the specialty insurance industry, handling complex class action litigation. Managing high-stakes legal matters required careful analysis, strong communication, and collaboration across diverse stakeholders, experiences that now inform her leadership in annual giving and alumni relations.

Today, Heidi focuses on strengthening Renbrook’s culture of philanthropy by engaging alumni across generations and partnering with families to support the school’s mission. Through relationship building and thoughtful stewardship, she helps ensure that Renbrook continues to thrive for current and future students.
