Erin brings nearly two decades of independent school teaching experience to Renbrook, including impactful tenures at the International School of Dakar in Senegal, Silicon Valley International School (formerly International School of the Peninsula) in California, and most recently, Brentwood School and Waterside School. With a background in both French and International Relations and a Master’s in French Language from NYU in France, Erin is particularly skilled at fostering global awareness and inclusivity in her classrooms. Her work has included designing inquiry-based curriculum, leading student government, and guiding students through meaningful service-learning opportunities. Erin’s teaching philosophy reflects a deep commitment to cultivating the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally. She creates classroom environments that are safe, engaging, and inclusive, where students are encouraged to be curious, collaborative, and courageous. At every stage of her career, Erin has been praised for her ability to differentiate instruction, her attention to social-emotional growth, and her joy in guiding students to become informed, compassionate citizens of the world. Her commitment to professional growth, from Reading and Writing through Inquiry Learning to project-based learning with Harvard’s Project Zero, Erin’s journey reflects Renbrook’s belief in lifelong learning and teacher leadership.
