Andy Zelman

Front Desk Coordinator

Manhattanville College - M.A.T., University of Pennsylvania - B.A., Rockland Community College - A.A.

Andrew Zelman joined Renbrook in 2022 and serves as the Front Desk Coordinator in the Main Office, where he is often one of the first friendly faces families see in the afternoon. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Manhattanville College. As a certified elementary educator for grades K–6, Andrew spent several years teaching fifth grade in Stamford Public Schools and sixth grade in Fairfield Public Schools before bringing his experience and warmth to Renbrook.

His background in the classroom informs the way he approaches his role. Andrew understands the rhythms of a school day and the importance of creating a calm, welcoming space for students and families. Whether answering questions, coordinating pickups, or simply offering a reassuring smile, he plays a quiet but essential role in the daily life of the school.

Andrew is especially drawn to Renbrook’s warm and inviting atmosphere. He appreciates the genuine happiness of the students and the supportive, friendly nature of the faculty. For him, the sense of community is what makes the school special.

Outside of work, Andrew enjoys hiking, biking, and getting lost in a good book. In a fun twist from his early years, he once worked as a prep cook in a Chinese restaurant in Jackson, Wyoming at age 19. His favorite quote by Carl Gustav Jung captures his thoughtful outlook on life: “The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.
