Renbrook School prepares your Preschool to Grade 8 child for success at secondary school and beyond. At Renbrook, your child’s education will be characterized by small classes and personal attention from faculty members. With about 350 students from over 40 towns and cities including Simsbury, Farmington, Avon and West Hartford, class sizes of 10–15 are typical.
In this smaller, focused learning environment, your child will have the opportunity to ask questions, share ideas, and to learn—both from dedicated, passionate educators, and from the other students in the class. We value challenging academic work, but also encourage creativity, versatility, and a balanced, healthy lifestyle. Most importantly, we support your child’s individual advancement and achievement.

I was immediately struck by the thoughtful approach to the admissions process and appreciated the attention to detail and the care shown by the Renbrook team who took time to learn not only about our daughter but about our family, our hopes, values, interests, and concerns. And it didn’t stop there! When we met our daughter’s teachers it was so clear to us that the Beginning School faculty and team listen fully and think carefully about how to help each child become valued members of their new community, connected, supported and able to be the fullest versions of themselves as they learn.
And the proof is in the pudding! Our daughter raves about her days at school, shares her adventures with us, and shows us her creative projects and new skills! The detailed communications we receive from her teachers and the Beginning School team also empower us to support her learning beyond the classroom which is a great feeling as a parent! Renbrook has been such a special place for me my whole life. As a child, the campus was magical, and the teachers were so kind and supportive. My middle child has just started junior kindergarten, and my oldest is in first grade. I am so pleased for them that they will be able to enjoy all that Renbrook has to offer, from both a character-building standpoint and academically. My youngest will start preschool next year, and I wish the same for him!
