After receiving the completed application and recommendations, qualified new applicants will be contacted to schedule an appointment for an interview. Spots are available for our pre-season or main season camp.

  • Counselor

    The Counselor is responsible for the daily supervision of their camp group. S/he is responsible for assisting in the implementation of all program components and program activities in the Summer Adventure program. The counselor guides the social development of campers, ensuring a safe, enriching, and healthy learning environment. Counselors use a variety of resources, provided by the Camp Director, Head Counselors and Program Directors to introduce new skills throughout the execution of activities.
  • Counselor In Training (CIT)

    Students entering grades eleven and twelve can apply to be part of a select group of high schoolers who garner experience in a counseling environment to build for future employment at schools and camps. This is a highly selective program for students to work and build experience in a CIT Development Rotation.

    In a carefully structured program, CIT’s work in different assignments throughout the summer such as a counseling group or Activity Director Assistant to gain a broad experience for the future. In addition, CIT’s meet regularly as a group with an advisor who leads discussions on child development, activity planning, and all matters pertaining to camp life. Upon successfully completing the CIT program, students are invited to return the following summer as a Junior Counselor, on a space-available basis.
  • Lifeguard/Swim Instructor

    Working on the swim staff to teach lessons and guard the pools--does not need current Lifeguard cert. but should be qualified to take the course this summer with us.
  • Program Director

    **Woodworking Program Director Only**

    The Program Director is responsible for the daily supervision of their camp group. S/he is responsible for assisting in the planning, development, and implementation of all components and activities in their assigned program within the Summer Adventure program. The Program Director guides the social development of campers and counselors, ensuring a safe, enriching, and healthy learning environment. Program Directors use a variety of resources, provided by the Camp Director to support campers and counselors during the summer.
  • Program Staff

    The Program Staff is responsible for the daily supervision of their camp group. S/he is responsible for assisting in the implementation of all program components and program activities in the Summer Adventure program. The Program Staff guides the social development of campers, ensuring a safe, enriching, and healthy learning environment. Program Staff use a variety of resources, provided by the Camp Director, Head Counselors and Program Directors to introduce new skills throughout the execution of activities.
  • Scholastics Tutor

    The Scholastic Tutor is responsible for the daily tutoring of their Renbrook School Summer Adventure students. Scholastic Tutors ensure efficient communication with parents, Camp Director and Scholastic Director. Scholastic Tutors use a variety of resources, provided by the Scholastic Director to support students during the summer. Must be qualified to teach grades K-10 in Math, Eng, ESL, ELL or other specialty subject to work in our Scholastic Group. Teacher training/experience required.

Renbrook School Summer Adventure is a day camp open to three-year-old children through Grade 10, and a Counselor in Training Program for Grades 11 and 12 in West Hartford, CT.
