Is your child's school like this? From preschool to grade 8, at Renbrook we educate the “complete” student — your child will grow intellectually, socially, and ethically. This is learning. This is Renbrook. Watch our video and see!
Renbrook School prepares your Preschool to Grade 8 child for success at secondary school and beyond.
At Renbrook, your child’s education will be characterized by small classes and personal attention from faculty members. With about 200 students in each of our Lower and Upper Schools, class sizes of 10–15 are typical.
In this smaller, focused learning environment, your child will have the opportunity to ask questions, share ideas, and to learn—both from dedicated, passionate educators, and from the other students in the class.
We value challenging academic work, but also encourage creativity, versatility, and a balanced, healthy lifestyle. Most importantly, we support your child’s individual advancement and achievement.

This is learning. This is Renbrook.

Welcome from the Head of School

Welcome to Renbrook. It’s both my pleasure and my honor to introduce you to our campus, our programs, and the personality of the school.

At Renbrook School, we’ve been bringing learning to life for families in the Hartford area and surrounding towns for more than eighty years.

Almost 4,000 Renbrook students have gone on to succeed at a host of secondary schools and colleges, and are now making important contributions in all walks of life—in communities throughout the nation and around the world.
A Renbrook education is anchored in an academic experience that is both challenging and engaging, and our students live the school’s philosophy and values every day.

From Preschool to Grade 8, Renbrook students connect new knowledge and ways of thinking to important, real-life situations. Beyond a wide array of humanities, math, and science classes, Renbrook students also enjoy the opportunity to explore their interests and develop their talents in a variety of athletics, arts, and service activities.

Our culture prizes character, integrity, and kindness, which means your child will enjoy a safe and supportive environment in which to learn—both about themselves and about the world around them.

It is my sincere hope that you will take the time to visit our beautiful and expansive campus in the weeks and months ahead, to help you and your child discover more about Renbrook.

Those of us who passionately work here are extremely proud of all that goes on during the school year, and we would love the opportunity to share that passion with you.

Sincerely,

Scott L. Hutchinson
Head of School
