Renbrook School Participates in New England Math League Contest

This past February, all sixth through eighth grade students at Renbrook School in West Hartford, CT participated in the New England Math League Contest. Renbrook joined over 55 schools, both private and public, and earned the following individual and school-wide recognitions as listed by grade level.
Grade 6:
 
  • Renbrook ranked in the top 24 schools in the New England Math League.
  • Renbrook received 3rd place honors in Fairfield, Hartford, Middlesex, New Haven, and Windham counties.
  • Hridaan Mehta from South Windsor, CT and Arden Peres from West Hartford, CT tied for 4th place overall in Fairfield, Hartford, Middlesex, New Haven, and Windham counties.
 
Grade 7:
  • Renbrook ranked in the top 33 schools in the New England Math League.
Grade 8:
 
  • Renbrook ranked in the top 33 schools in the New England Math League.
  • Ciaran Groom from Simsbury, CT ranked in the top 38 students in the New England Math League and ranked 3rd place in Fairfield, Hartford, Middlesex, New Haven, and Windham counties.
 
The Math League website discusses the importance and purpose of such contests, "[giving] students an educationally enriching opportunity to participate in an academically-oriented activity and to gain recognition for mathematical achievement."
