She is a certified Connecticut educator for grades 1 through 6 and brings additional credentials in literacy intervention, differentiated instruction, behavioral support, and water safety instruction.
Her professional journey includes serving as a Special Education Teaching Assistant in an International Baccalaureate program in West Hartford, teaching at a school in Alexandria, Virginia, that specialized in supporting students with ADHD and executive-functioning challenges, and, most recently, teaching Grade 4 in Manchester. Across all roles, she has focused on differentiated, engaging instruction and on building strong partnerships with families.
Luna became a teacher to make a meaningful impact on the world by instilling a lifelong love of learning in her students. She prioritizes relationships, regularly connecting classroom content to students’ interests and experiences and exposing them to opportunities beyond the classroom.
A lifelong swimmer from a Division I family of athletes, Luna enjoys reading, cinema, swimming, and exploring mathematics and STEAM. She also shares her home with her beloved border collie. Her favorite quote by Maya Angelou reflects her philosophy: “You can only become truly accomplished at something you love.”
