Every year Renbrook School eighth graders head to Washington, D.C. This year's class made the trip for a three-day stay where students visited various sites in our Nations capitol. Other highlights of the trip included visiting the Capitol Building, the Library of Congress and Arlington National Cemetery where they saw the Changing of the Guards, and laid a wreath with Renbrook's name...
Renbrook Alum Ashley McGeary, class of 2005, shared her story of life after Renbrook with the Upper School today. After returning to campus for Alumni Day, Upper School English teacher Anthony Scherer was inspired by her story. "It was amazing to me that she picked up and moved to South Korea without knowing the language or what she was going to be doing when she got there." says Scherer. After leaving Renbrook, Ashley went on to Choate Rosemary Hall and has also studied abroad in Paris, France....
Beth Cahill will join the Renbrook community in September as the Director of Alumni and Development. Most recently she has served as Vice President for Advancement at Colby-Sawyer College in New London, New Hampshire. Prior to her 13 years at Colby-Sawyer, Beth held progressively responsible roles in advancement at Dartmouth College, Proctor Academy, and the Eye Research Institute. She currently serves on the District I Board of the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). Beth earned a bachelor's degree from Fairfield University and an M.B.A. from New Hampshire College. Born and raised in West Hartford, she is looking forward to her move back to the area with her husband, Jeff, and their two college-aged children, Joseph and Anna.
Tamas Takata, Renbrook Class of 2012, entered Avon Old Farms as a freshman and hit the ground running. His achievements in academics, the arts, athletics, and student leadership redefine the term well rounded!

Based in Prague — often considered the film capital of Europe — Nancy Bishop '81 is an Emmy-nominated casting director with more than 80 major feature film and television projects among her credits. Nancy has cast hundreds of actors throughout Europe, the United Kingdom, and the United States, including for such films as Mission Impossible IV, Oliver, Child 44, and Anne Frank: The Whole Story.
In just a few years, Meg Guzelescu, `11 has made her way from singing in the Renbrook Variety Show to a spot acting beside Sopranos star James Gandolfini on the silver screen. She plays the sister of a rock band singer in Not Fade Away, a coming of age story set in the 1960s, which opened in December.
After six years serving in the Connecticut General Assembly, William Tong, '87, has his eye on a higher-profile office. In February Tong announced his candidacy for mayor of Stamford.
