A: Financial aid is "need-based" and available to students at all grade levels. It is important to apply for admission and for financial aid as early in the process as possible because our financial aid budget is not unlimited. Learn more in the Financial Aid section.
- Early Learning Center (Preschool and JK) classrooms sizes vary by grade level but average 16 students with two experienced early-childhood teachers in each class;
- Kindergarten class size average is 16;
- Lower School (KIndergarten- Grade 5) class size average is 13 students;
- Upper School (Grades 6-9) classes average 12 students and vary according to subject.
In all divisions, the work of classroom teachers is enriched by full-time faculty in the arts, athletics, languages, library science, technology, and more. The overall student: teacher ratio is 6:1.
A: Children in Kindergarten through grade five may register for After-School Plus+, choosing from a range of enrichment activities offering learning, creativity and fun. Past activities have included cooking, chess, martial arts, pottery, and yoga.
Upper School students have extensive opportunities to participate in extra-curricular activities, including the arts, community service, special events, and clubs such as chess, mathematics, yoga, musical performing groups, and more. In ninth grade, opportunities for extracurricular activities are designed to build leadership and project development skills. The four core groups offered in Gr 9 are yearbook, buddy directors, service committee and freshman activities council.
