APRIL 8-21, 2011: The 20th Alumnae/i Art Show at Renbrook School featured 25 painters, potters, photographers, jewelers, sculptors and even a glassblower. A portion of the profits benefitted the alumni scholarship fund.

 

West Hartford artists included alums Joan Marshall Losee, Renbrook Class of '69, painter; former teacher C. Jeanne Peters, jeweler; Debra Shulansky '74, potter/jeweler; and photographer Spencer A. Sloan '72.

 

Regional artists included: Canton potter Timothy T. Scull '72; painter and Renbrook Art Department Head John Ford, of Simsbury; Hartford artist Gina P. Nelson '85, painter; Gail Reiner '70, jeweler from Granby; Lela Schaus Philip '76, painter from Greenwich; Tia Streeter Smith '55, photographer from Essex; Bryan Nash Gill  '77, sculptor/painter from New Hartford; and Antoinette Davis Hall '72, quilter from Andover, CT;

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION: The annual show was originally the brainchild of Ginny Hilyard, who was then Chair of the Alumnae/i Association. The 2011 show was co-chaired by Francie Brown Holmes, Mary Thomson Russell and Lincoln Young and is sponsored by the Alumnae/i Executive Committee at the school.
